You cannot move a skip when it has been placed, or you may make it inaccessible for collection. Generally you can put cardboard, construction/demolition waste (nails, rubble, tree stumps, etc.), household waste (bottles, cans, clothing, compost, disposables, etc.), magazines, mixed metals, timber (panels, composite panels, veneers, etc.), wood (old furniture, hardwood flooring) and mixed recyclables (plastic bottles, cans, glass and paper) into your skip.

However, you cannot put asbestos, batteries, fridges/freezers, tyres and paint/paint cans into your skip.

When you book a Manchester skip from Manchester Skip Hire, you need to make sure you are prepared for the skip arrival. This includes ensuring that where you require the skip to be placed is fully accessible by our skip lorries and will be for skip pick up as well. In addition to that, you must prepare for the arrival of the skip by planning how you will load the waste into it. Load the Skip Evenly Once you are ready to load the skip, load any flat items in first, at the bottom and around the edges. However, make sure that nothing sticks up above the edges of the skip.
